WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be incorporated into armor and weapons and increase their power. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to a level gauge for the item, with the cost increasing with their rarity.
A perfectly made version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community for its ability to reduce the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. They can improve an item's stats and make it stronger or weaker and even provide an additional benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. Some upgrades are universal while others have specific rules for weapons and armor. The wrong upgrade can ruin an otherwise excellent weapon, and could even lead to it becoming ineffective.
As a general rule, you can only upgrade the equipment you have to the level of its highest-level counterpart. You are able to upgrade helms only to the highest level. Weapons, on the other hand can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this won't increase the weapon's damage output and could decrease its value in trade.
To upgrade an item you need to purchase flightstones and crests. The amount of both depends on the item level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for example will require more flightstones compared to an upgrade of a Cloak. You may also get discounts on the number of flightstones or crests needed to upgrade an item.
Upgrading an item fills up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases Tier level by one-third. The highest Tier level is Tier 3. It can take several upgrades to reach this level, based on the item. It is essential to keep in mind that any procedure that could mount a disk shouldn't be run while upgrading. In addition, you need to ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not used as a system disk.
Enchantment is a feature which lets you transform white or Common items into blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop located in the Capital District is where you can do this. This process does NOT add gem or rune slot to the equipment. However item upgrading can alter the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of equipment by the size of a creature 2 categories smaller. For example the Blaster Pistol is deemed small, while a Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be utilized on any type of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. Upgrade components can be obtained from Random drops or side quests. Universal upgrades can be either temporary or permanent, and they can be combined with Power Ups. They can also be branching or linear.
The Universal Upgrade is when "internal technologies" can give sentient creatures new capabilities that they would be unlikely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are prostheses or implants. This kind of upgrade is not the same as medical internal technology which aims to restore the natural capabilities. It's the beginning of the process that will alter civilizations completely. The universal upgrade is a tense process that can take several years to complete. The process can be classified into two categories one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
Similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational reasons like room availability or overbooking. In the case Universal, it could be to move guests to another resort that is open. This is not meant as an insult however in the current economic climate, it might be impossible to avoid.
Unlike Runes, Sigils and Jewels which are only applicable to certain types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or), universal upgrades can be applied to any equipment. They can also be applied to several items at a time. They are therefore more flexible than other types of upgrade. However, this flexibility may cause problems when upgrading items in the same gear path because it increases the item level of the entire gear path.
Before performing an upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. After that you can install the new files using the Get-ChildItem -Recurse or the Unblock-File commands. It is also recommended to perform a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it functions properly.
Jewels

Jewels can be incorporated into armor, weapons or other items. The reagents and gems used to create them provide different stat bonuses and secondary effects. They can be found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions, V Blood Carriers and in regular enemies. They can also be bought from a Master Craftsman in exchange for karma or gold. Jewels can also be made on a jewelry table with 1 gem and 5 of the same ingredients to create a jewel that is of a lower or higher level; this procedure is the same as upgrading a gemstone with the use of a gemcrafting table.
Jewel tiers are based on the number of modifiers they have, with higher-tier jewels having more than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it is, while the secondary effect is randomized and players can make use of luck potions to increase the chances of having better secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into objects with sockets that match similar to other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost power, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strong attacks. Jewels can be put into all levels of armor, weapon and accessory slots, and some trinkets with lesser rarity or exotic that require an unused slot.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that allows items to feel special to their owners. Jewels provide a variety of upgrade paths that allow players to personalize and find the perfect combination for them. They can upgrade their gear with new gems in the event that they feel that the initial set is no longer appropriate.
Requirements
The item upgrades in WoW allows players to increase the level of their weapons, equipment and trinkets above their current level of item using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase the stats of items and some also have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace grants swimmers a dolphin-like grace). The players can get these upgrades at any upgrader NPC or by rescuing the items that contain them, with different types of items dropping various upgrade components.
The process of upgrading can be a bit complicated however, it's not difficult. The player chooses the item he wishes to upgrade, and then clicks on the Upgrade button. A window will open with the different upgrades available for the item. This window will display the upgrade level, the type of upgrade bonus (such Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The bonus type for upgrades will be displayed below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
The user will have to bring the item to the upgrader, who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player will then need to provide the correct currency to make the upgrade, and may be required to provide additional materials if necessary. These requirements are based on the level, with weapons typically having higher requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes include an acceptable material list as well as the required components. This list outlines what other upgrade components are available on the item, as well as a flag that indicates whether the item can be guaranteed to boost or extra effect. This is important as the value of an upgrade can differ greatly based on its "extras. For instance the gear that is perfectly rolled can be worth more than the unupgraded version.
For the types of upgrades that require crests or valorstones, they will be displayed in a separate list below the main list. The amount of crests and valorstones required will depend on the item's level. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
